IRGC: Two oil tankers turned back after fire in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that two oil tankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz via a U.S.-protected southern lane near Oman turned back after one caught fire. The IRGC blamed U.S. aircraft for encouraging the vessels, calling the route unsafe. This incident follows the collapse of a ceasefire and renewed Iranian attacks on shipping. In response to Iranian missile threats, U.S. CENTCOM conducted heavy strikes on IRGC targets. The IRGC declared the Strait of Hormuz its territory and stated it cannot reopen amid U.S. interference.
