Data controller
WorldAttention operates WorldAttention and is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Privacy requests may be sent to the public contact address below.
Information we process
- Account information such as email address and display name when a user signs in.
- Product preferences such as theme, density, and local interface settings.
- Recommendation activity such as opened, meaningfully read, saved, or dismissed Stories, only when a signed-in user explicitly enables activity-based recommendations.
- Basic analytics and performance signals used to understand whether public pages are reachable and useful.
- Operational logs needed to debug API failures, feed freshness, and abuse.
How we use it
We use this information to provide the reading experience, keep sessions working, measure page health, protect the service, and improve public news surfaces. We do not sell personal information.
Recommendation activity
Activity-based recommendations are off by default. After signing in, you may explicitly allow WorldAttention to use Story interactions to improve your recommendations. Declining does not disable account-backed recommendations based on interests you explicitly follow. Your choice is stored with your account, and you can withdraw permission from the account panel at any time. Analytics cookie consent is a separate choice.
Local settings
Some interface choices are stored in the browser so the site can remember the selected theme and reading density. Clearing browser storage may reset these preferences.
Privacy requests
To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, contact guiye@syyl-group.com. Identify the relevant account or page, but do not send passwords, access tokens or other secrets.
