The Indian Institute of Technology-Tirupati (IIT-Tirupati), in collaboration with its Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation (IITNiF), hosted the fifth meeting of the BRICS Working Group on "Geospatial Technologies and its Applications" on Monday at its Yerpedu campus.
The three-day international event is organised under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and is themed "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability." It has brought together policymakers, scientists, academicians, industry leaders, startups, and research organisations from BRICS countries and partner nations.
The meeting is being conducted in a hybrid mode, with delegates from the following countries participating virtually:

- Ethiopia
- Indonesia
- Iran
- Russia
- South Africa
- United Arab Emirates
These delegates are deliberating on the role of geospatial technologies in addressing contemporary global challenges and promoting sustainable development.
