UniUni to Go Public via $1 Billion Reverse Takeover with MAK Acquisition
Uni Express Inc. (UniUni), a leading North American last-mile delivery platform, has entered into a definitive agreement to become a publicly listed company through a reverse takeover of MAK Acquisition Corp. The transaction values UniUni at an enterprise value of approximately $1.0 billion (C$1.37 billion), marking one of the largest recent go-public deals in the Canadian technology sector. UniUni currently processes over 1 million parcels daily using a network of more than 100,000 drivers and proprietary technology. The company projects revenues to exceed $1 billion in 2026, driven by strong demand in the global ecommerce industry. Proceeds from a $100 million private placement and existing escrow funds will fund the expansion of automated super-sorting centers, aiming to increase capacity to 3 million packages per day. Following the closing, subject to regulatory approvals, New UniUni shares will trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol 'UN', with plans for a near-term cross-listing on the Nasdaq. This move positions UniUni to further scale its operations across the United States and Canada.
