Trump Vows to Secure Iran’s Enriched Uranium Stockpile Amid Ongoing Tensions

US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States will eventually seize Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium, describing it as a key objective in ongoing peace negotiations. In a recent interview, Trump asserted that US surveillance capabilities, including the Space Force, monitor the facilities closely and threatened military action against any unauthorized access. This statement follows US and Israeli attacks on Iran in late February, which were justified as preemptive measures against nuclear weapon development. Washington continues to demand that Tehran halt all enrichment activities and relinquish its fissile material. Conversely, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated Russia’s offer to facilitate the removal of Iran’s uranium, citing previous successful cooperation and Tehran’s trust in Moscow. Iran currently holds over 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60%, though it denies seeking nuclear weapons. Tehran has refused to surrender its stockpile or stop its civilian nuclear program without security guarantees and the withdrawal of US forces from the region.
