IRGC Releases Photos of Downed Polish Tiguar M Drone Allegedly Operated by U.S. Army
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has published photos of the wreckage of a downed unmanned aerial vehicle, identified as a Polish Tiguar M drone. The drone, a light tactical UAV designed by Polish company uAvionics, was allegedly operated by the U.S. Army and shot down over southern Iran by the IRGC Ground Forces' 48th Fath Brigade in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. The photos show the drone was fitted with an improvised Starlink or Starshield terminal for beyond line-of-sight communication. The report, first shared by analyst Babak Taghvaee, notes that U.S. soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group tested Tiguar M drones during the Balikatan 2026 exercises in the Philippines, focusing on long-range communications.
