Iran Releases Music Video Thanking Spain's Sánchez for Opposing US War

Iran has released a music video featuring Spanish guitar music to express gratitude to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez for his opposition to the military campaign led by the United States and Israel against Iran. The video, produced by the Maava Musical Center and reported by the Mehr news agency, was recorded during a rally in front of the Spanish embassy in Tehran. It features young Iranians waving flags and singing lyrics in Spanish that thank Spain for choosing humanity and rejecting the war. This cultural gesture follows earlier symbolic acts by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, which placed stickers of Sánchez on missiles during the height of the conflict in March. Sánchez had previously labeled the war illegal and inhumane, restricting US use of Spanish airspace and refusing to support the offensive. In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Sánchez's ethical stance, and Tehran allowed safe passage for Spanish-linked ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The release occurs amidst a fragile truce and ongoing negotiations between Iran and Washington to resolve the conflict.
