Iran Health Ministry Reports 3,483 Deaths from US-Israeli Strikes

The Iranian Health Ministry has announced that at least 3,483 people have been killed and approximately 40,000 injured during forty days of fighting resulting from US-Israeli military strikes on Iran. Spokesperson Hossein Kermanpur confirmed the updated death toll, which represents an increase from the previous estimate of 3,375 fatalities. The conflict began on February 28 when the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran. Although Washington announced a two-week ceasefire on April 7 and later proposed an extension on April 21, Tehran rejected the unilateral extension, stating it would act according to national interests. Diplomatic talks held in Islamabad on April 11 failed to produce a long-term solution due to significant disagreements between the parties. Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian and various MPs, have emphasized that Iran will not capitulate to American demands and have called for international judgment on the aggression. The situation remains tense with ongoing diplomatic friction and unresolved military hostilities.
