Iran Accuses UAE of Active War Partnership Amid Rising Tensions

Tensions between Iran and the United Arab Emirates have escalated significantly following accusations by Iranian officials that Abu Dhabi acted as an active partner in recent conflicts against Tehran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi labeled the UAE’s alleged collusion with Israel as unforgivable, claiming Emirati territory was used for attacks. Former Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and former Deputy Speaker Ali Motahari reinforced these claims, citing drone origins and hostile intentions. The diplomatic rift deepened after reports surfaced of a secret visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the UAE during the conflict, which Israeli officials confirmed but Abu Dhabi denied. Additionally, the Wall Street Journal reported covert Mossad visits and UAE-led attacks on Iranian oil infrastructure, including Lavan Island and Asaluyeh port. These developments, coupled with reports of Iron Dome deliveries to the UAE, indicate expanding security cooperation between Israel and the UAE. In response, Iranian parliamentary leaders have issued stern warnings, threatening retaliatory measures against enemy security globally and asserting readiness to confront adversaries in strategic areas like the Strait of Hormuz.
