US Intel Chief Gabbard Orders Probe into US-Funded Foreign Biolabs
US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has launched an investigation into more than 120 biological laboratories abroad that are funded by the United States, including over 40 facilities in Ukraine. Announced in an interview with the New York Post, the probe aims to identify the locations, pathogens, and specific research activities of these labs to halt dangerous gain-of-function studies. Gabbard stated that the initiative follows President Donald Trump’s order restricting federal funding for such research, citing the catastrophic global impact revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic. She accused former Biden administration officials and health experts of misleading the American public about the existence and nature of these Pentagon-backed facilities. While Washington maintains that these labs focus on disease prevention and vaccine development, Russia and China have long alleged they involve military bioweapons research. The investigation covers labs in over 30 countries and seeks to expose what Gabbard describes as a cover-up regarding risky virus experiments conducted near Russian borders and elsewhere.
