Hyundai opens new UX Studio Shanghai
Hyundai Motor Group, including Hyundai Motor and Kia Corporation, has opened its fourth global user experience research hub, UX Studio Shanghai, located in Shanghai's Jing'an district. The facility is designed to deepen engagement with China's smart mobility market and translate local insights into global innovation. It supports the company's 'in China, for China, to Global' strategy, shifting from vision to execution. The studio features two collaborative spaces: an Open Lab with three zones (UX Explorer, UX Test, UX Archive) for public visitors, and an Advanced Lab for invited users equipped with a flexible UX study buck and high-fidelity simulation platform. Hyundai aims to accelerate its transformation from a vehicle seller to a mobility experience designer, focusing on user-centered design as a key differentiator in the era of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The facility enables customer participation from concept to mass production.
