India Reclaims Top Spot in ICC T20I Rankings After Series Win Over Zimbabwe
India has regained the No.1 position in the ICC men's T20I rankings as of July 26, 2026, following an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare. The reigning T20 world champions, led by Shreyas Iyer, reclaimed the top spot from England, who had recently dethroned India with a 4-0 series win. India had also suffered a 0-2 series loss to Ireland prior to this. However, the team bounced back with a seven-wicket win in the first T20I and a dominant 90-run victory in the second match. In the individual rankings, India's Ishan Kishan leads the batters' list with 892 points, followed by Abhishek Sharma (858 points). Tilak Varma retained eighth place with 733 points. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy, not part of the Zimbabwe series, remains the only Indian bowler in the top 10, holding fifth place with 683 points.
