ConflictRussia launched a wave of ballistic missile strikes across Ukraine early Thursday, killing at least seven people, including two young girls aged five and 12. In Kryvyi Rih, an Iskander-M missile struck a private home, killing six and wounding eight, with the death toll expected to rise. In Kyiv, at least one person was killed as missiles triggered fires in several districts. The attacks came hours after President Zelenskyy warned of an imminent large-scale Russian assault and urged Ukrainians to heed air raid alerts. Zelenskyy also renewed calls for allies to supply additional Patriot interceptor missiles, citing critical shortages of PAC-3 interceptors needed to counter ballistic threats. He discussed the possibility of Ukraine producing Patriot interceptors domestically during talks with US President Donald Trump, who earlier expressed support for such a move as Russia intensifies its use of ballistic weapons.
