ConflictPolish authorities are investigating the crash of an unidentified object in a field near the border with Ukraine, following a night of intense Russian long-range aviation strikes on Kyiv. The object was detected entering Polish airspace at around 3:40 a.m., disappearing from radar six minutes later after an F-16 fighter was scrambled to intercept it. Police found a crater and debris in Biłgoraj County, near the town of Tarnawa-Kolonia, and deployed counter-terrorism units and intelligence agencies. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened a coordination team with the defense minister and security services. European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the airspace violation underscores Russia's broader threat to European security and pledged EU solidarity and increased support for Ukraine's air defense capabilities.
