Everforth ECS wins $115m US Army contract for Nautilus AI program

Everforth ECS, a subsidiary of Everforth, has secured a $115 million contract to support the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Army Research Laboratory (ARL) under the Nautilus for AI Research and Development programme.

Contract Scope

The three-year agreement designates Everforth ECS as the prime contractor, tasked with assisting the Department of War (DoW) in accelerating the development, testing, and operational integration of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

Key areas of focus include:

• Research, development, testing, and evaluation of trusted AI for Army applications
• Methods to improve the transition of AI and related research capabilities from laboratory settings into operational environments
• Approaches enabling AI deployment in contested, bandwidth-constrained, and compute-constrained situations, reflecting current US Army operational requirements

Company Responsibilities

Everforth ECS will apply its capabilities across several domains:

• AI development
• Software engineering
• Secure systems integration
• Test and evaluation

The objective is to identify repeatable and scalable frameworks for moving AI technologies into mission use, while ensuring these technologies meet security and mission assurance standards. The company will also support evaluations of how these technologies can be most effectively operationalised and transitioned from experimentation to deployment readiness.
