Key Highlights

- Dream: Becoming a multimillionaire overnight – the aspiration of every poker player.
- Special: All action will be broadcast live on TV in Germany for the first time.
Live Broadcast Details
The sports channel Eurosport will air all three days of the Main Event live. The starting signal is set for the night of August 3rd to 4th, from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m., allowing poker fans to watch the Las Vegas spectacle from home.
This marks a historic first: while poker has been shown on TV repeatedly in the past, it has never been broadcast live. Commentary will be provided from Munich by Michael Körner.
German Players' Performance
From a German perspective, the final table will not be as spectacular this year. After three German world champions – Pius Heinz (2011), Hossein Ensan (2019), and Koray Aldemir (2021) – no further title will be added.
Things looked promising for a long time:
- Hossein Ensan reached the last two tables but was eliminated in 13th place.
- Tolga Karakaya finished in 11th place.
Both delivered outstanding performances, making their eliminations so close to the big goal all the more bitter.
The Final Nine Players
Nine other players fulfilled their big dream. Each is already guaranteed $1 million:
- Lucas Jumalon (USA)
- Rami Hammoud (Canada)
- Jamie Shaevel (USA)
- Greg Mueller (Canada)
- Michael Gagliano (USA)
- Mario Boos (France)
- Lauri Saaskilahti (Finland)
- Han Feng (USA)
- Evagoras Evagorou (Cyprus)
