At the 2026 Farnborough Airshow in London, Lockheed Martin introduced the Morfius X-Rotor, a ground-launched, recoverable counter-drone system using high-power microwave (HPM) technology. The company claims it can neutralize over 50 enemy drones in a single flight, offering a low cost per kill. The system is designed to be reused and is compatible with any command and control system, not requiring unique sensors or fire control radars. Lockheed Martin is accelerating prototype production for frontline troops. The system has been flight-tested in Arizona, California, and Oklahoma, with additional tests planned.
