Chris Fall, the director of the Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI) within the Commerce Department, has left his position after only three months on the job, according to a Commerce Department spokesperson. Fall played a key role in the White House's voluntary review process of frontier AI models and was involved in discussions with Anthropic executives after export controls were imposed on the company.
