Raphinha Ends Vacation, Returns for Specialized Training to Regain Peak Form
Barcelona captain and winger Raphinha has ended his vacation in Orlando and Ibiza and will join coach Hansi Flick's training at St George's Park starting Wednesday, preparing for the La Liga opener against Elche on August 23. The Brazilian, who suffered a right thigh muscle injury during the World Cup and was eliminated early with Brazil, aims to regain his peak form. Despite a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, Raphinha has committed to staying at Barcelona until his contract expires in 2028. In Flick's first season, he achieved career-best stats of 34 goals and 26 assists in 57 matches, but injuries limited him to 33 appearances and 21 goals last season. New fitness director Benjamin Kugel has designed a personalized recovery plan to help Raphinha return to his best level, strengthening Barcelona's attacking lineup alongside Yamal, Gordon, and Adeyemi.
