GM raises 2026 EBIT outlook on strong Q2 earnings
General Motors (GM) raised its full-year 2026 earnings guidance for the second time this year, following strong second-quarter results. The US automaker reported Q2 revenue of $48.02 billion, up 1.9% year-on-year, and adjusted EBIT of $3.94 billion, a 29.8% increase. Net income attributable to stockholders fell 31.1% to $1.30 billion, while adjusted diluted EPS rose 41.3% to $3.57. By segment, GM North America saw adjusted EBIT surge 42.7% to $3.4 billion, while GM International's adjusted EBIT slipped 6.6% to $190 million. Equity income from China increased 16.9% to $83 million. GM Financial's adjusted earnings before tax fell 14% to $605 million. For the first half of 2026, revenue reached $91.65 billion and adjusted EBIT rose 25.6% to $8.19 billion. GM now expects full-year adjusted EBIT of $14-$16 billion, up from $13.5-$15.5 billion, and adjusted diluted EPS of $12-$14. The company also recently entered a strategic customer agreement with Micron Technology for memory and storage products.
