PwC Opens Shanghai AI Innovation Centre to Drive AI-Led Value Creation
PwC China has officially opened its AI Innovation Centre in Shanghai, positioning it as a key engine for AI-led value creation. The centre integrates internal R&D with broad industry support to develop AI solutions tailored to local market demand, leveraging PwC's global network to combine domestic innovation with international best practices. The launch event on July 22, 2026, drew over 100 attendees from government, technology enterprises, academic institutions, and industry associations. PwC released its 2026 Intelligent Robotic white paper and highlighted findings from its AI Performance Study. The centre is built around five core pillars: research, factory, alliances & ecosystem, industrial exchange, and talent development, spanning the full value chain from research to deployment. It includes an exhibition space for collaborative prototyping and customized AI roadmaps. PwC Global Chief AI Officer Joe Atkinson emphasized the centre's role in helping domestic and multinational clients adopt AI responsibly and effectively in China.
