Menarini Asia-Pacific and Pharmacosmos Partner to Bring Cosela to Asian Patients
Menarini Asia-Pacific announced an exclusive partnership with Pharmacosmos to register, commercialize, and distribute Cosela (trilaciclib) across 11 Asia-Pacific markets. Cosela is a first-in-class prophylactic therapy approved by the FDA to protect bone marrow from chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression (CIM) in patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). Under the agreement, Menarini will manage registration, reimbursement, and commercialization in Australia, Hong Kong/Macau, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The first Asia-Pacific launch is anticipated in Hong Kong in 2028, pending regulatory approvals. The partnership builds on a prior 2024 agreement between the two companies for the iron infusion Monofer. Cosela is currently marketed in the US and China and under registration in Europe.
