Borussia Dortmund Newcomers Score in First Friendly Victory
Borussia Dortmund began their summer preparations with a 3-1 victory over regional league side Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in a friendly match. Two new signings, Justin Lerma (18) from Ecuador and Takato Yamamoto (18) from Japan, scored on their debuts for the club. Dortmund initially struggled, falling behind in the 6th minute after a turnover led to Timur Kesim's goal. Lerma equalized just before halftime, finishing from a tight angle. After the break, coach Niko Kovac made a complete substitution, and Serhou Guirassy put Dortmund ahead in the 55th minute. Yamamoto sealed the win in the 78th minute with a composed finish.
