Bombardier Closes $500 Million Senior Notes Issuance Due 2035
Bombardier Inc. has successfully closed the issuance of US$500 million in aggregate principal amount of 5.875% Senior Notes due 2035. The notes were sold at par and are scheduled to mature on January 15, 2035. The company intends to utilize the proceeds from this offering, combined with existing cash reserves, to fund the repayment and retirement of outstanding indebtedness. Specifically, the funds will be used to redeem all of Bombardier's outstanding 7.50% Senior Notes due 2029, which currently have an aggregate principal amount of US$750 million. The redemption date for these 2029 notes is set for May 19, 2026, following a conditional notice of redemption issued earlier in May. Additionally, the proceeds will cover accrued interest and related fees. The securities were offered to qualified institutional buyers in the United States under Rule 144A and to accredited investors in Canada through private placement exemptions, without registration under US or Canadian public securities laws.
