Anahat Singh and Aryaveer Dewan Advance to Round-of-16 at World Junior Squash Championships
Indian squash players Anahat Singh and Aryaveer Dewan have advanced to the pre-quarterfinals (round-of-16) of the World Squash Junior Individual Championships held in Ontario, Canada. Women's top seed Anahat Singh defeated Hong Kong's Pui Yin Chole Lo in straight games (11-3, 11-1, 11-3) in the round-of-32 and will next face Malaysian Doyce Ye San Lee. In the men's draw, Aryaveer Dewan eased past South Africa's Joseph Feast with a dominant 11-4, 11-3, 11-3 victory and will next play American Yaseen Shalaby. However, five other Indian players—Gurveer Singh, Yusha Nafees, Saanvi Kalanki, Rudra Singh, and Anika Dubey—were eliminated after losing to higher-seeded opponents.
