Baghdad, September 22 (Xinhua) — A natural gas processing unit at the East Baghdad Oil Field, invested in and built by Chinese company Zhenhua Oil Co., Ltd., was successfully commissioned on Sunday.
Iraqi Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair and several senior officials attended the inauguration ceremony.

Background on East Baghdad Oil Field

Currently, the oil field produces 80,000 barrels of crude oil per day, playing a significant role in securing the energy supply for the Iraqi capital and supporting local economic and social development.
