TechAlphabet's Google announced on August 25, 2026, the expansion of its Gemini Enterprise AI platform with new tools specifically designed for lawyers and law firms. The new offering, Gemini Enterprise for Legal, aims to help law firms manage routine and complex legal work using AI, allowing lawyers to focus on higher-value services while ensuring data security and confidentiality. The platform includes integration with legal software and data platforms, as well as AI agents capable of handling specialized legal and administrative functions. Google also unveiled industry tools for the financial services sector and plans to roll out more industry-specific offerings. The move intensifies competition in the legal AI market, with rivals like Anthropic and Thomson Reuters also expanding their offerings. Several major law firms, including Weil Gotshal, Cleary Gottlieb, Freshfields, and Williams & Connolly, are collaborating with Google on the platform.
