FinanceFord Motor Co. is reportedly planning to shift production of some Lincoln models from China to the United States starting in 2030, driven by high Trump-era tariffs and tighter restrictions on Chinese vehicle technology. CEO Jim Farley confirmed in a Reuters interview that the Lincoln Nautilus SUV imported from China currently faces a 52.5% tariff. Farley stated the decision was made as soon as the administration's policy was set, emphasizing Ford's domestic manufacturing edge. The automaker also backed a revised USMCA trade agreement. Ford officially announced that Lincoln will phase out vehicle imports from China for the U.S. market. The move reflects broader industry adjustments to trade policies and technology restrictions.
