SportsSerie A champions Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign full-back Jed Spence for a transfer fee of €35 million (£29.9 million), including add-ons. The initial payment is approximately €30 million (£25.6 million), and personal terms are not expected to be an issue. Spence arrived in Milan on Thursday evening to complete the transfer. The 26-year-old England international, who played in all eight matches at the World Cup as Thomas Tuchel's team reached the semi-finals, is a versatile player capable of playing both left-back and right-back. Inter has been searching for a new full-back following Denzel Dumfries' move to Real Madrid. Spence initially struggled after joining Tottenham from Middlesbrough in July 2022, failing to start a single match in his first two seasons and being loaned out to Rennes, Leeds United, and Genoa. However, under Ange Postecoglou in the 2024-25 season, he made 79 appearances and helped the club win the Europa League. His departure continues Tottenham's defensive rebuild this summer.
