Pentagon launches online marketplace for counter-UAS technology

The U.S. Department of Defense launched a counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) marketplace on August 10, 2026, designed to streamline the acquisition of vetted counter-drone technology for military and government agencies. Developed by the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401) and built by Kaizen Laboratories under a $15 million contract, the platform allows approved buyers—including federal procurement officers, military commands, and allied defense ministries—to browse, filter, and search products based on tactical needs, evaluate performance data, and submit acquisition requests. Vendors must undergo a vetting process to list products. The marketplace is the Pentagon's second sales platform for drone-related technology, following the Blue UAS List launched in 2020. Brig. Gen. Matt Ross described drones as 'a defining threat of our time,' emphasizing the need for faster acquisition. The platform aims to deliver the right counter-UAS capabilities to the right users at the right time.
