SportsAccording to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez and club vice president Javier Zanetti have personally contacted Tottenham Hotspur center-back Cristian Romero to persuade their Argentine compatriot to join Inter. Both Inter and Atletico Madrid have reached agreements with Tottenham for a transfer fee of around 40 million euros, but neither club has finalized terms with the player. Romero's camp is demanding a salary of at least 6 million euros, which is too high for Inter, while Atletico is prepared to meet his demands. The situation is currently at a standoff. Inter is leveraging the 'Argentine offensive' with Lautaro and Zanetti to secure the defender requested by coach Chivu. Additionally, Inter continues to search for a right-wing replacement for Denzel Dumfries and has interest in Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby.
