TechMeta announced the release of Muse Spark 1.2, a coding-centric AI model, and Muse Code, its first coding agent, on August 5, 2026. The launch follows Meta's rebuilding of AI efforts after its Llama models failed to impress developers. CEO Mark Zuckerberg hired Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang in a $14.3 billion acquihire to serve as chief AI officer. Meta has raised its capital expenditure projections to between $134 billion and $145 billion, weighing on its stock, which is down over 20% in the past year.
