FinanceItalian unicorn Bending Spoons, which went public on the Nasdaq in June 2026, has agreed to acquire Airtable in an all-cash deal valuing the software company at $1.285 billion, with an equity value of about $2.25 billion including Airtable's cash. This represents a steep discount from Airtable's $11 billion valuation during the 2021 tech boom. Airtable, founded in 2013, serves over 500,000 organizations including 80% of the Fortune 100, with annual recurring revenue growing over 20% year-over-year to approximately $480 million. Bending Spoons, known for acquiring underpriced apps and cutting costs, has built a portfolio of over 50 acquisitions including AOL, Eventbrite, Evernote, Vimeo, and WeTransfer. The deal is expected to close by end of 2026 pending regulatory approval.
