Pentagon counterdrone task force awards Kaizen $15M to build AI marketplace for foreign military sales

The Pentagon's counterdrone task force has awarded Kaizen Laboratories a $15 million contract to build an AI-powered marketplace designed to streamline foreign military sales of counter-UAS technology. The platform, built from scratch and online for about two weeks, aims to provide a single point of purchase for the U.S. military, allies, and partners, helping them find interoperable technology. It supports the Foreign Military Sale Fast Lane Initiative, allowing partner nations like Australia, Poland, South Korea, Romania, and the UK to access pricing, availability, and capabilities digitally, and initiate the FMS process quickly. Army Undersecretary Mike Obadal highlighted the platform's ability to generate paperwork for foreign partners and facilitate networked air defense. Kaizen CEO Nikhil Reddy plans to add features like test data integration, product comparison, and repairability catalogs in the coming weeks.
