German media Bild reports that Bayern Munich has finalized plans for an additional pre-season friendly against Heidenheim on August 18 at Heidenheim's Voith Arena. The match, scheduled for the evening, is intended to give Bayern's star players—including Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, and new signing Ismael Saibari—extra playing time before the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on August 22. These players missed Bayern's Asia tour (August 1-8) and four friendlies due to post-World Cup holidays, leaving them with only the Telekom Cup match against RB Leipzig on August 15. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund contacted Heidenheim club director Holger Sanwald, who agreed to host the 'double winners.' Heidenheim will have already played two 2. Bundesliga rounds, putting them in peak competitive form. The match serves as Bayern's sixth pre-season friendly under coach Vincent Kompany.

Hupu, July 30 — German outlet Bild's Bayern Munich correspondent team has provided an update on the club's summer training schedule.
Vincent Kompany (40) is seeking one more friendly match. According to Bild, Bayern Munich is currently finalizing plans behind the scenes for an additional pre-season fixture.
Opponent, date, and venue confirmed: August 18 against Heidenheim. The match is scheduled for the evening at Heidenheim's home ground.
This gives Bayern a strong test, as Heidenheim will already have played two rounds of the 2. Bundesliga (against Osnabrück and away to Hertha BSC), putting them in peak competitive form before their DFB-Pokal first-round match against Jeddeloh II on August 23.
For Kompany, this sixth pre-season friendly is crucial. It provides his star players with an extra warm-up opportunity ahead of the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on August 22 at 8:30 PM.
Players such as Harry Kane (33), Michael Olise (24), Dayot Upamecano (27), and new signing Ismaël Saibari (25 — joined from PSV for around €50 million) missed the Asia tour (August 1–8) due to post-World Cup holidays. As a result, they skipped four friendlies (against Wehen Wiesbaden, Rottach-Egern, Jeju United, and Aston Villa).
This left them with only the Telekom Cup match against RB Leipzig on August 15 at 3:30 PM at the Allianz Arena — clearly not enough for Kompany.
Bayern Executive Freund Communicated with Heidenheim
To address this, the team needed to find another friendly opponent. According to Bild, sporting director Christoph Freund (49) made several contacts, ultimately selecting Heidenheim as the suitable opponent for this ad-hoc match.
Heidenheim club director Holger Sanwald (59) has agreed to host the "double winners" for a friendly on the evening of August 18 at the Voith Arena. Currently, there are no obstacles to holding the match.
The record champions are currently training in Rottach-Egern on Lake Tegernsee and plan to face local lower-league side FC Rottach-Egern in a tough test match on Thursday evening (18:00).
After the match, Bayern's squad will return to Munich. The team is scheduled to depart for Asia as early as Saturday evening.
