Plot and Cast
Based on Nintendo's hit 2007 Super Mario Galaxy video game, the film finds Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt), Luigi (Charlie Day), and Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) in the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach and Keegan-Michael Key's character suddenly rocket to outer space to find the princess's long-lost sister, Rosalina (Brie Larson).
Hoping to aid in the mission, Mario and Luigi, along with their new friend Yoshi (Donald Glover), follow Peach into orbit. They encounter Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), who is holding Rosalina hostage.
Rated PG, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie also introduces Glen Powell to the franchise as the voice of Fox McCloud, while Jack Black reprises the voice of the villainous Bowser.
