Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was in New Delhi for discussions regarding the Cabinet expansion, made a brief visit to Mysuru on Tuesday (July 28).
According to Congress party sources, Mr. Siddaramaiah flew from the national capital to Mysuru to participate in rituals marking the death anniversary of his elder son, Rakesh Siddaramaiah. He returned to Delhi later that day after completing the ceremonies.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Mr. Siddaramaiah expressed confidence that the Cabinet expansion would be finalised by Tuesday evening, when a meeting was scheduled to take all related decisions.
