Siddaramaiah makes brief visit to Mysuru for family ritual amid cabinet expansion talks
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a brief visit to Mysuru on July 28, 2026, flying from New Delhi where he was involved in discussions regarding the state cabinet expansion. The visit was to participate in rituals marking the death anniversary of his elder son, Rakesh Siddaramaiah. After the rituals, he returned to Delhi. Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah expressed confidence that the cabinet expansion would be finalized by Tuesday evening during a scheduled meeting. However, he deferred questions about the exact date and time of the expansion to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
