Manchester United have signed 19-year-old former Swansea City goalkeeper Kit Margetson on a free transfer, with Swansea receiving a compensation fee. Margetson, a Wales under-21 international, spent last season on loan at Connah's Quay Nomads, making 34 appearances and keeping 10 clean sheets. The club is also overhauling its goalkeeping department under manager Michael Carrick. Altay Bayindir and Radek Vitek are set to depart, with Vitek valued at £10 million after an impressive loan at Bristol City. Previous No.1 Andre Onana has been loaned to Trabzonspor. Karl Darlow has joined from Leeds on a free transfer to back up Senne Lammens, who arrived last year. The moves aim to create space in the first-team squad.

Manchester United have signed 19-year-old former Swansea City goalkeeper Kit Margetson and are looking to sell two other keepers in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United have announced the signing of Kit Margetson as part of their overhaul of the goalkeeping department.
Margetson, a Wales under-21 international, left Swansea City earlier this month when his contract expired. However, Swansea will receive a compensation fee for the young goalkeeper, having developed him since under-15 level under the eye of his father Martyn, who was until recently the Championship side's head of goalkeeping.
He spent last season on loan at Connah's Quay Nomads, where he made 34 appearances and kept 10 clean sheets. Margetson made his debut for Wales under-21s against Belarus in March.
The club, which has not announced the length of his contract, said in a statement: "Everyone at United would like to welcome Kit to the club and wish him the very best of luck for the future."
Goalkeeping Department Overhaul
Margetson's arrival is the latest in a succession of moves in the goalkeeping department at Old Trafford. United signed Wales international Karl Darlow from Leeds on a free transfer to provide back-up to Senne Lammens, who himself only arrived last year.
Previous No.1 Andre Onana has been loaned back to Turkish side Trabzonspor, while Altay Bayindir and Radek Vitek are also set to depart in the coming weeks.
Michael Carrick has greenlit their departures to create space in the first-team squad. Bayindir has struggled to make an impact over the past few seasons and is seeking a permanent move, having not returned to United following the World Cup.
Vitek spent last season on loan with Bristol City in the Championship and made a real impression. United are understood to value the 22-year-old at £10 million and have received plenty of interest in his services.
He started United's 5-0 pre-season win over Rosenborg at the weekend but will be allowed to leave, with Lammens and Darlow installed as the first and second-choice keepers and his value high after his Bristol City stint.
