Manchester United announce goalkeeper transfer as Michael Carrick approves two departures
Manchester United have signed 19-year-old former Swansea City goalkeeper Kit Margetson on a free transfer, with Swansea receiving a compensation fee. Margetson, a Wales under-21 international, spent last season on loan at Connah's Quay Nomads, making 34 appearances and keeping 10 clean sheets. The club is also overhauling its goalkeeping department under manager Michael Carrick. Altay Bayindir and Radek Vitek are set to depart, with Vitek valued at £10 million after an impressive loan at Bristol City. Previous No.1 Andre Onana has been loaned to Trabzonspor. Karl Darlow has joined from Leeds on a free transfer to back up Senne Lammens, who arrived last year. The moves aim to create space in the first-team squad.
