Russian military bloggers publish wreckage images confirming Ukraine's use of Dutch Ruta Block 1 cruise missile

Russian military bloggers have published the first imagery showing wreckage of a Ukrainian-operated Ruta Block 1 cruise missile, confirming its combat debut. The low-cost missile, produced by Dutch company Destinus, has a range of over 300 km and a 150 kg payload. Ukraine has been receiving these missiles since at least 2024, with the Netherlands funding approximately 700 units as part of a $500 million package. The weapon is ground-launched, uses inertial, satellite, and visual navigation, and is designed for mass production to enable sustained long-range strikes against Russian military infrastructure. Destinus is also developing Block 2 (800 km range) and Block 3 (2,000 km range) variants. Ukraine has not officially confirmed operational use, but the wreckage evidence aligns with known design characteristics.
