RB Leipzig's new signing Maxime Estéve, just one day after his debut in a test match against Ingolstadt, made a surprise visit to the DTM (German Touring Car Masters) at the Magdeburg Börde circuit. The 24-year-old French defender, who previously attended Formula 1 in Monaco, visited the Schubert Motorsport BMW team. He spoke with driver Kelvin van der Linde about motorsport preparation and adrenaline management. Estéve was originally supposed to attend with teammate Abdoul Koné, but Koné stayed in Leipzig due to a shoulder injury. Before the race, Estéve had the honor of giving the starting signal from the grid. He then cheered from the Schubert pit as BMW drivers finished fourth and seventh, while Lamborghini's Mirko Bortolotti won. Estéve returns to RB Leipzig training on Monday, where he will join returning World Cup players including Yan Diomande, David Raum, Nicolas Seiwald, and Lutsharel Geertruida.

Full-throttle appearance for Maxime Estéve (24)! One day after the new signing from Burnley celebrated his debut in the RB Leipzig jersey during a test match against Ingolstadt (1-0), the Frenchman made a pit stop in the Magdeburg Börde. Estéve, who attended Formula 1 in Monaco in June, stopped by the DTM on Sunday.
"It's a great pleasure. I'm very interested in motorsport – being this close is exciting because you also learn something about other sports and athletes. It fascinates me to see how the drivers prepare to reach the highest level."

At the BMW team of Schubert Motorsport, the center-back also spoke with driver Kelvin van der Linde (30). "He asked me questions about football, I asked him about the motorsport industry. It's interesting how they handle the adrenaline. There are many things you can take away from that," Estéve revealed.
According to BILD information, Estéve originally planned to drive to Oschersleben with teammate Abdoul Koné (21). However, his compatriot stayed in Leipzig after suffering a training injury. The new signing from Reims will be out for several weeks with a capsular injury to his right shoulder.
Without Koné, Estéve had the honor of giving the drivers the signal to start their engines from the starting grid before the race. Afterwards, the new Leipzig player cheered from the Schubert pit.

What's Next for Estéve
