US Selective Service System seeks software to model military draft mobilization

The U.S. Selective Service System (SSS), the independent agency maintaining lists of draft-eligible men aged 18-25, has issued a request for quotes (RFQ) for readiness simulation software to help evaluate staffing and resource requirements if a military draft were reinstated. The software must model the full end-to-end mobilization pipeline, support configurable scenarios, provide decision-support analytics, operate in a cloud environment, use anonymized aggregate data, and allow complete government ownership. SSS is also tasked with comparing mobilization policies, assessing surge impacts, and identifying bottlenecks. The procurement comes ahead of a Dec. 18, 2026 deadline when male registration will shift from individual sign-up to automatic enrollment via federal databases. Quotes are due by Aug. 14, 2026, with questions accepted until Jul. 28.
