CoAspire wins $70M US Navy contract for RAACM-ER ground-launched missile under CHAOS programme

CoAspire has been awarded a $70 million contract by the US Navy to deliver the Rapidly Adaptable Affordable Cruise Missile-Extended Range (RAACM-ER) ground-launched variant under the Coalition Heterogeneous Affordable Offensive Strike (CHAOS) programme. The contract, issued via a prototype Other Transaction Agreement with CMG Networks for the Naval Air Systems Command, tasks CoAspire with designing, building, testing, and providing a ground-launched medium-range cruise missile for the Navy's munitions program office PMX-201. The CHAOS programme aims to provide US allies and partners with a cost-effective maritime strike weapon capable of engaging land-based and mobile maritime targets. CoAspire's RAACM-ER system integrates the missile with a booster and launcher customized for CHAOS, utilizing additive manufacturing to enable rapid modifications, maximize payload, and reduce production costs. The company notes this approach allows new variants to be developed in months rather than years. This contract follows CoAspire's recent inclusion in the US Air Force's Affordable Mass Missile Family programme framework agreement.
