SportsLuka Modric, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner and Croatia captain, has signed a one-year contract extension with AC Milan, committing to a second season with the Rossoneri. The 40-year-old midfielder, who will turn 41 soon, was out of contract since June 30. After leaving Real Madrid last summer, Modric played 37 matches under coach Massimiliano Allegri, helping Milan qualify for the Europa League. Next season, he will play under new Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, who was appointed a few weeks ago. Modric will continue wearing the number 14 jersey.
