Chelsea have agreed a pre-arranged deal to sign 15-year-old U.S. youth international Benji Flowers from FC Dallas when he turns 18. FC Dallas will receive an initial fee of around $3 million (£2.25m), with performance-based add-ons potentially raising the total to $10 million. The add-ons include incentives tied to Flowers' appearances for Dallas and youth national team milestones before his move, and Dallas will retain a sell-on clause. Flowers, a winger, made his debut for Dallas' second team in MLS Next Pro at age 14 and has represented the U.S. up to the under-15 level. The deal could surpass the $5 million Philadelphia Union received for Cavan Sullivan in a similar pre-arranged transfer to Manchester City. Chelsea has been active in the under-21 market globally, including previous U.S. signings like Caleb Wiley and Gaga Slonina.
