Chelsea agree deal to sign 15-year-old US youth international Benji Flowers from FC Dallas

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign 15-year-old U.S. youth international Benji Flowers from FC Dallas, with the transfer set to be completed when he turns 18. FC Dallas will receive an initial fee of approximately $3 million (£2.25m), with performance-based add-ons potentially raising the total to around $10 million. The add-ons include incentives tied to Flowers' playing time for Dallas before his departure, as well as youth national team milestones. Dallas will also retain a sell-on clause. Flowers, a winger, made his debut for Dallas' second team in MLS Next Pro at age 14 and has represented the U.S. at the under-15 level. The deal could surpass the $5 million Philadelphia Union received for Cavan Sullivan in a similar pre-arranged transfer to Manchester City. Chelsea, known for aggressive recruitment in the under-21 market, previously signed Ecuadorian Kendry Paez and Americans Caleb Wiley and Gaga Slonina.
