SportsColombian striker Jhon Duran, 22, has been loaned by Saudi club Al-Nassr to Portuguese side Benfica for the entire season, with a €6.1 million fee and a €30 million purchase option. This marks his fifth club in less than two years. Duran joined Al-Nassr from Aston Villa in January 2025 for €76 million but played only 18 matches, scoring 12 goals. He was sent off in his third game and has not played since May 21, 2025. He was previously loaned to Fenerbahçe (21 matches, 8 decisive contributions) and Zenit Saint Petersburg (9 matches, 2 goals). Duran reportedly commuted 1,000 km daily by plane between his home in Bahrain and Riyadh. Benfica will play Europa League qualifiers against St. Gallen on July 23 and 30.
