US Navy awards CoAspire $70M to develop CHAOS cruise missile for coalition allies

The US Navy has awarded CoAspire a $70 million Prototype Other Transactional Agreement to develop the Coalition Heterogenous Affordable Offensive Strike (CHAOS) cruise missile. The program, managed under PMX-201 and NAVAIR, aims to produce a low-cost, ground-launched, mid-range anti-ship weapon for coalition partners via Foreign Military Sales. CoAspire's solution uses the RAACM-ER cruise missile combined with a booster and launcher system, leveraging additive manufacturing for rapid production and cost efficiency. The missile can engage both land-based and moving maritime targets. CoAspire CEO Doug Denneny highlighted support from 56 first-tier suppliers across nearly every US state. The RAACM-ER variant is also used in the US Army's Low-Cost Containerized Munition program.
