SportsInter Milan have initiated formal negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur for full-back Djed Spence, following his standout performances for England at the 2026 World Cup, where he helped secure a bronze medal. The Serie A champions are seeking a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who moved to Real Madrid. Italian journalist Luca Cerchione reported that Inter made first official contact with Spence's agency on July 20, 2026. Tottenham are demanding €35-40 million for the 25-year-old, a fee Inter currently considers excessive. Spence, who signed a new contract with Spurs until 2030, is reportedly open to the move, and Inter hopes the player's willingness could help lower the transfer price. The deal remains in early stages with a gap in valuation between the clubs.
